Welcome to Westminster Online!
KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR FLAMINGOS!!!
Our Youth Migratory Bird Council (Jesus Seekers) have been investigating the skies around Westminster and are forecasting a large migration of Pink Flamingos to traverse the neighborhoods of Decatur in early March. Please be aware that these birds may take up temporary residency in your yard and could possibly be an eyesore to your neighborhood. The Migratory Bird Council will be doing their best to encourage these creatures to move along in their migration but will need your assistance. If your yard happens to be littered by this migration then the Council will gladly remove these pesky plastic creatures and force their migration from your yard to the yard of your choosing. There are fees however for this service; $10 for bird removal and cleanup, $15 for removal and cleanup plus relocation to the yard of your choosing. Sponsorships of these birds for their entire migration will be $20. Anyone who sponsors two or more Flamingos will have a vote in where the migration begins. Please direct your questions to any member of the Migratory Bird Council or to Bo Turner the Director.
Refurbishment of Maranatha Hogan
The Mission Committee will be working with Camp Maranatha on the refurbishment of a Hogan this Spring. We're looking for a group of volunteers that want to spend a few days converting one of the Hogans into an air conditioned unit. The interior design will be completely up to the team. This should be a fun way to spend time at Maranatha. There will be more details to follow and if you should have any questions contact Bo Turner at 256-566-8199.
